Building for Life Capital Campaign

TRANSFORMING LIVES

BuildingforLife

Covenant House has embarked on an exciting capital campaign to revitalize the Montrose campus! The existing facilities have faithfully served the community for over four decades but have now reached a point where they are no longer sustainable and lack the necessary space/resources to effectively meet the growing needs of the community.

The new campus will house and care for 50% more youth each night, increase the square footage dedicated to program use, and create flexible spaces. This new facility has been thoughtfully designed with a singular focus – to empower and assist young people in their journey from homelessness to independence, while aiding in their recovery from the trauma they’ve experienced.

With your help, a new Covenant House Texas campus will rise at the original location in Houston’s Montrose neighborhood!

This new campus will create the kind of welcoming home and supportive community that many of our youth have never known before. It will help to transform many young lives.

Programs include Youth Engagement Center, Safe Haven Emergency Shelter, Young Parents Program, Rights of Passage Transitional Housing, Rapid Rehousing, runaway prevention, street outreach, medical and mental health care, job training and education, life skills training and faith-based services. Youth who seek refuge at CHT have previously experienced significant trauma. Many have been victims of human trafficking, exploitation, violence, and child abuse.

Covenant House Texas was able to break ground on March 9, 2023 thanks to generous donations and support from the community. They are still ardently seeking support from the public and private sectors for this important project.
